The Editorial Guide to Prom, Homecoming & Formalwear
Promsie is an independent fashion editorial — written for students, grounded in real budgets, published every season.
Our Editorial Mission
Most prom content online is either a retailer catalogue or a Pinterest mood board. Promsie is neither.
We publish independent editorial covering prom, homecoming, graduation, and every formal occasion in between. That means style guides built around what students actually wear on the night — not just what's trending on a runway — alongside honest price breakdowns, trend timelines, and outfit frameworks that work across body types, budgets, and dress codes.
With over 150 articles published, Promsie is one of the most comprehensive independent resources on high school formalwear in the US.
Meet the Team
Robin – Editorial Voice
Robin is the name behind Promsie's style coverage, researching current trends across prom and homecoming retailers, talking to stylists, and reading through reader feedback to keep our guides grounded in what's actually happening this season, not just what's trending on a runway.

What We Cover
Promsie publishes across four core areas:
Prom — Trend forecasts, dress guides, colour breakdowns, accessories, and how to build a full look from a real budget.
Homecoming — Style direction for every court tier, theme nights, and the specific aesthetic that separates homecoming from prom.
Graduation — What to wear under the gown, post-ceremony outfits, and how to dress for the photos that last.
Formalwear Fundamentals — Fabric guides, silhouette explainers, fit advice, and the evergreen reference pieces that apply across all occasions.
Our Content Integrity & Ethics
To maintain our standing as a trusted resource, we follow a few simple rules:
Independent research. We participate in affiliate programs to help fund the site, but product selections aren't dictated by partners. We choose items based on style, reviews, and value for money.
Accuracy first. We check event dates and seasonal trends against primary sources before publishing.
Transparency. We're a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, which means we may earn a commission on purchases made through our links at no extra cost to you. That revenue is what keeps our guides free.
Corporate Identity
